Professor Currie Report Hand Over

MEDIA RELEASE - 21st December 2005

Professor Graham Currie of Monash University has completed a report commissioned by the Lower Hunter Local Government Councils into the efficacy of reports the NSW Government has acted upon regarding the proposed closure of rail services into Newcastle.

Professor Currie has described these reports as "biased, flawed and misrepresented" resulting in faulty multi-million dollar decisions being made by government.

Save Our Rail representatives shall hand over Professor Currie's report to Member for Newcastle, Bryce Gaudry MP, at Newcastle Railway Station at 1.00 pm, tomorrow, Thursday 22nd December 2005.
